Autonomous Industry is a music marketing resource for bands and musicians to help them with their self promoting strategies.  Since 2008 we have been researching music tools and services which can help songwriters create a bigger fan base for their creative output.  The Directory is where you can find all the tools listed.

Using some of these tools, we have created a guide on which you can follow day by day, week by week or even sharing tasks between band members.

Firstly, the guide covers website creation and management.

Included in this section;

  • Managing your files and website with FTP, File Transfer Protocol.
  • Hosting companies and web hosting set up instructions.
  • Domain names, where to register and how to sync with your seperate hosting.  If you cant afford a web designer we show you free open source software to control and style your site.

After web sites we begin to look at the other tools you can utilize.  As we have mentioned. content management systems are included in the tools available for bands.

As well as;

  • Social networking
  • Video hosting
  • Email services
  • Crowd sourcing services for new material(album) funding
  • Digital music aggregators and services to not only host your music and save your bandwidth costs but promote it through their website with the help of search forms and the mass of people who use these services.

We don’t stop there, as some once said “A plan that can not be measured is destined for failure”.  These words may be hard hitting but we had the foresight to include any possible routines you can involve, from analytics on your website to online public relations.  We know our guide is beneficial to your project in some way.  It’s not the answer, but we are working on the little things first.
