The interesting thing about hosting is, it is not purely to host websites, it can be for many forms of files and reasons, all transferred with FTP.
You must remember that your trying to host as little as possible but at the same time keep your brand seamless(As in your have stored it all on the page instead of linking in media and such), so that potential fans are kept up to date with the help of third party hosting services, Myspace and Flickr are examples of these.
There are many different forms of hosting services which provide specific options for their customers. Full feature rich control panels, some are different but all have some form of administration. Either through a Control Panel (cPanel) through to software packages ready to click and install.
I would be more inclined to get a host which supplies a control panel, with already built in software I can take advantage of within a few clicks. Even though it’s not a specific blog hosting service, it give’s me the options to do what I wish with whatever domains.
