As you can see “AutonomousIndusty.com” is the Title of the website. You can have whatever you wish on your home page along with head meta tags you will be shown in a bit, but this is what you will change depending upon the content of your page your changing.
Meta Tags
If you go to ‘View’ » ‘Page Source’ on your browser. You will see the particular web sites html source. At the top is its head, and is within < head > < / head > tags.

SEO With Blog or CMS
With a blog such as WordPress or Content Management Systems, there are many plugins which do this job for you. They will reword the important parts highlighted above and edit them through an input form. You will be at full control of the management of the website’s SEO. The following list is of useful plugins which will aid your SEO work.
- All In One SEO
Keywords, Author, Description etc for search engine bots. The red highlighted area is the main meta parts, some people use more meta parts but this is what you ideally need to have. You may have heard about meta tags not being used by the major search engines, but if it takes a few minutes of your time, there is still good reason to do so.
Alt Tags – Images
Say we have a picture of a flower focused in on it but you can see blue sky and lush green grass.
If this was an image on a site, tag it with the colours of the image, location, whats happening etc. Your not really limited on how many charachters you can put but remember dont stretch yourself
By doing this you are then available to be found on google image search or any other search engine image search, and thats the point. To put yourself out there as best you can.
The tag’s you use for your images, they are description words for search engines to use and help with user interface when they are told to appear on a web page, such as tooltips. They are also used in services such as flickr, photobucket. The services provide a user friendly version of alt tags within their administration. In Part 3, tags are brought up for you again.
