TweetThe following settings allow for certain information to be represented by you,  as well as changing the visuals, where people land when they head to your video page and (most importantly), the channel tags.

These are your ‘meta head keywords’ if we are to relate them in any way.  If anyone searches for one of the tags I have used below and there are no videos with the relating keywords then there is a good chance of coming up on their results.  If some one searches for specific channels then a very good chance of coming up with the following keywords as they are searched a lot using Google, so using them within Youtube is not a bad idea either.

There are basic settings you can use to get the look you are after or which most suits your own website.  With the advanced features you can change font styles, other colours around the page and even add a background image.

With no videos uploaded by the channel the modules can wait to be edited to get a better feel of what will work.  The last setting on the top navigation bar is Videos and Playlists, diplay the content you wish, direct people to specific parts of your uploads and choose what you wish to show from your video collection.  Save these settings and move on to the last part which is your information column on the left.

Click edit on your profile to finalise your look.

Choose the last bits of information you wish to present or not to the public eye.  Get a vital backlink to your own website which you should definitely be showing and anything else that you may wish to use.  Within the music part, why not link to another part of your website with a list of bands which your band listen too.  Save this and check out your channel, if anything needs editing then do so.

I have unticked all of the following check boxes for security and sharing reasons.  We should only use admin@ email address for registering, which means that no one who knows about your website should really know about this email address.  Its for admin purposes only between you and who you register with.  Ads and stats have both been unticked as well.

Youtube will let you publish your new content to other social places on the internet but when clicking on Facebook it logs in with your personal facebook account so its not recommend to use this unless your FB account is band orientated.  Clicking on any of the options and filling in your details will result in your videos being automatically sent to them when uploaded to Youtube, usually with a link back to the original video too.

Just like that, some of the work is done for you.  You never have to remember to update to these places with new content as  It is now done automatically and you can see it at work as you implement it and float around your web presence while seeing what things you can optimize or include to get the fans more involved.
