TweetPhotobucket is important due to the group albums that people can join and submit images or pictures they got at say a gig or event somewhere. Its easy to use and the slideshows are of a high visual standard.
Photobucket.com Group Folder/Album
With the many photo and digital image services around there are bound to be some useful little features within them. What is good about Photobucket.com is the Group Album Folder which you can create and share anywhere you wish, you can even publish it as a slideshow on your own website to try to entice visitors to add theirs if they have any snapshot’s of your band. Again it’s keeping that interactivity going between you and your potential fans(which is key). The bonus is that there is more content being created by your fans and listeners which undoubtedly helps with your web presence.
Registration is straight forward as usual. Www.photobucket.com is where you want to be.
Last few details, not even a need to confirm an email address.
Once inside, head to the main tab ‘All Albums’
One of the main box’s with information in should look like the following image.
Give the album for your fans a name, you dont have to take too much time, things can be edited and new albums created tell them a bit about it, try to grab their attention. Choose a custom url which you can link to anywhere on your own site or sub profiles such as Facebook etc. Finally make sure it’s public.
Like any other service, we don’t just stop there. There are plenty of extensions with photobucket and straight away your invited to share what you have just created. Wait until an album has some bulk to it and then promote it at a later date. For now however you can include it on your website.
If you are on a WordPress blog, head to Appearance and Widgets. If not, create a new page for whatever CMS you have running your site and paste the code where you would like to see it. Here we are going to edit it’s size and include it on the sidebar of a blog.
Name this page or section your including the slideshow of the album. Where the code has been highlighted is where you need to edit if you wish to change its size, click save to move on.
Take a look at your site as if you where visiting and see how it looks, with a bit more tweaking you are able to get rid of the photobucket buttons attached to your album preview.
